Usually, the longer surveys pay more than the shorter ones.

In terms of how much you can earn from each survey, many of the general opinion surveys in the site will earn you about $1.00 per survey, while the buyers’ surveys can earn you about $3.00 per survey. If your profile does not match the requirement and you get disqualified from the survey, Survey Club will still pay you $0.10 for your effort.

Survey Club also offers members opportunities to participate in focus groups, where members in a group setting discuss and come up with their perception of a product or service. Typical of the middle-man role of Survey Club, they only recruit participants for the focus group and do not directly conduct the activity.

However, because you’re there to make some extra income, I don’t think you should be concerned about who actually conducts the focus group, but how much it pays. Interestingly, focus group activities in Survey Club pay $50 – $200 per hour.

Inbox Dollars is a cash-based online reward platform founded by Daren Cotter in 2000. there’s no doubt that inboxdollars.com is legit. The company has consistently been recognized by Inc 5000; and, if it means anything to you, they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating. Also, Inbox Dollars does pay because they have paid out over $57 million to their members.

You can get your rewards as PayPal payments or as gift cards to some of the biggest retailers. However, you’ll have to have up to $30 before you can request a payout. Thus, you should know that Fusion Cash has been around since 2005; and in the over 13 years since 2005, they’ve actually been putting cash in the hands on their members with a total payout of over $3 m

Suffice it to say that scam sites do not pay; also no scam site will stay in business (ripping off people with the same tactic) for over a decade. Also, if it means anything to you, Fusion Cash is accredited by BBB (Better Business Bureau) with an A+ rating (the highest possible rating).

Fusion Cash is only available to users in the US. And it is one of the best paid online survey sites in the USA. In terms of earning, there are different ways to make money in Fusion Cash, which are categorized as freebies and paid offers. The main difference between the two is that the freebies do not require your credit card details, but you’ll need to submit your credit card details to do the paid offers.

As this is a paid survey site review; the main paid activity we’ll look at is the surveys. Like every survey site, when you register, you’ll have to create a profile, and Fusion Cash will use the profile to match you with surveys. If you complete any survey, you’ll earn between $0.25 and $30.

There are other avenues for earning in Fusion Cash; they have a referral program that allows you to earn by inviting people to the platform. The referral program is “sweeter” than most other survey sites. In most of the other sites, you can only earn from your referrals if they are active on the site. Survey Junkie has been in the market research business since 2005. That says something about their legitimacy; they have to be legit and actually pay their members for them to still be relevant after over 13 years.

They have over 3 million members; and according to independent review platforms, many of the customers are pleased with what they get from Survey Junkie. In one of such independent customer review platforms (Trust Pilot), Survey Junkie is highly rated, with an average rating of 8.7 out of 10. Reviews include comments: like “there is money being made here”; payout came in seconds”; “works great”; and so on.

Why do so many people rave about Survey Junkie? The first would be in terms of who can use the website. Survey Junkie is available to persons in the United States, Canada and Australia. While this is not the broad coverage we’ll want from a survey site, at least unlike some sites that are strictly for US members, Survey Junkie opens earning opportunities for persons in two other countries.

Also, while most survey sites are available to users 18 years and above, Survey Junkie is available to persons 13 years and above. Thus, a lot of teenagers who need to make some additional income can do so in Survey Junkie.

Another thing that makes Survey Junkie the go-to site and one of the best online survey sites is how fast they reward participants. In survey sites, you are not the only one answering a particular survey. On most survey sites, they’ll only pay you after they’ve collected all the responses from every other person answering the particular survey. That means you’ll have to wait for 24 hours or more before you are paid.

However, that is not so with Survey Junkie. They pay you almost instantly following the completion of your survey.

Note that Survey Junkie uses a point system where they award you points for the paid activities you complete. Thus, their “paying you” in this instance means crediting your account with your points. However, you are not there for points; so the most important thing is that you can convert the points to cash at the rate of 100 points = $1.00.

In terms of how much you will earn from the surveys. Survey Junkie answers a related FAQ with the opening statement: “You will not get rich from surveys”. That said, how much you earn depends on the length of the survey. You can expect to earn between 20 points to 300 points per survey you complete, which works out to $0.2 to $3.00. Thus, if you manage to complete one survey every week, you’ll be having $12 in a month.

Another thing that makes us rate Survey Junkie is that your points do not disappear even when you are relatively passive on the website. On some other review sites, if you do not complete a paid activity in a short period, whatever points you’ve accumulated are wiped off. However, in Survey Junkie you have the liberty to complete at least one survey in a year; and whatever points you’ve accumulated will still sit in your account.

You can redeem your points at any time. The minimum redeemable points are 1,000, which is $10. This is also good considering that some review sites have minimum cash-out threshold of $20+. YouGov is a UK based research panel that was started in 2000. It has been regarded among the best paid online survey sites for many years now. YouGov is a top choice because, unlike most survey panels that are US-focused, YouGov is a truly international market research company with 30 offices in 20 countries and panel members from 38 countries. There’s no doubt that the platform is legit because they’re almost clocking 20 years of existence, and its members have exceeded the 5 million mark.

The name might have you thinking that, as a survey site, YouGov, is all about political surveys; but that is not the case. Their slogan is “what the world thinks”. They advertise that they are in to get what people are thinking on virtually any issue. Whether it is the brands people like and why, people’s opinion about current affairs (think: trending topics on the economy, lifestyle, entertainment, sport, and politics), or whether the Chinese or the Swedes would live on Mars.

That last one had you chuckling, right? This tells you that YouGov is an interesting survey site to join. The kind of surveys you’ll be answering will not be boring stuff you’ll be forcing yourself to complete because of the earnings attached; many surveys will be current affairs and interesting topics you’ll be excited to contribute to anyway.

The surveys are usually short, consisting of about 20 to 30 questions that would take about 5 – 7 minutes to complete. However, sometimes, there are longer surveys that could take about 20 – 30 minutes to complete. Each survey you complete can earn you up to 400 points. With a conversion rate of 200 points = £1.00; it works out at up to £2.00.

YouGov sometimes holds Prize draw surveys, where after completing the surveys, your reward will be points that are strict to be redeemed for entries into a prize draw. As an incentive to join, YouGov gives a signup bonus of 200 points (£1.00); they also have a referral program where you can earn some more when you invite people to the platform.

You can cash out when you have accumulated 5000 points. You can redeem your points for cash or other rewards via cash deposit to your PayPal account (or other prepaid cards), AirAsia big points, gift cards to many retailers, or mobile credits. Another good reason to fall in love with YouGov is that your points never expire. 6. Pinecone Research

In some quarters, this survey panel has been dubbed the holy grail of survey sites. That should effectively kill the question of whether this panel is legit or a scam. The survey panel is owned by Nielsen Holdings Company (a leading global information and measurement company that also provides market research and insights).

They also have a rich history of paying their members. However, while being backed by an incorporated company and actually paying members to make Pinecone Research legit, that is not what has earned them the “holy grail” label.

This is unique in the market survey industry in that they do not accept members from their websites or take unsolicited referrals. You read that right. As strange as it is, you cannot go to the Pinecone website and find a registration tab. You can only join Pinecone through registration links provided to their affiliates.

Also, registration is not perpetual; they have a yearly cap, and once the limit is reached at any point, they stop accepting any new members until the following year. In a business where the operators want to get as many members as possible; it’s not surprising that one that has membership restrictions and caps is perceived as special and referred to in such hallowed terms.

Apart from restricting registration, what makes this panel special? What we can point to is that this has almost zero disqualification rates. If you’ve seen reviews of paid survey sites, you’ll find that a sad theme is that most of the time, people get disqualified from surveys after they must have invested a good amount of time in the survey. Therefore, a survey site with a low disqualification rate is ideal. Thus, with a disqualification rate of almost zero, Pinecone comes out as super ideal.

Also, the surveys are short and will take just about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. For each survey you complete, you’ll be rewarded with 300 to 500 points. 100 points equal to $1.00 when redeeming them. Thus, the earnings per survey works out from $3.00 to $5.00. Apart from the surveys, Pinecone also offers opportunities for product testing. Product testing offers will earn you as much as 600 points, which is $6.00.

In terms of payout; there was a time when Pinecone Research used to send a $3.00 check anytime a member completed a survey. Then every survey paid $3.00, and once you’ve completed a survey, you can expect a $3.00 check in your mail. There was even no need to submit a cash-out request. However, they’ve changed that policy. Currently, you are sent a $3.00 check once you’ve accumulated your first 300 points.

The first payout is usually via check in order to establish your profile and account. Subsequently, you can make cashouts in $3.00, $5.00 and $15.00 denominations any time you’ve accumulated the corresponding points. Also, the subsequent cash-outs need not be in check. You can get the payout as a cash deposit to your PayPal account or other prepaid cards, as gift cards to many retailers, or as branded merchandise.

Pinecone also has sweepstakes which give you the opportunity to win decent sums. There is a bi-weekly sweepstake where 30 members get $500 each, as well as a quarterly sweepstake where four members get $4,500 each. One other thing about Pinecone is that though points do expire, it’s only after a full year (12 months) of inactivity on the site that your points will disappear. This is enough time, and way better than the time that some survey sites allow before wiping your points for inactivity.

However, while we think that Pinecone is definitely worth looking at, some people think otherwise. The guys in the BBB give them a poor D rating; while they only have a poor rating of 4.3 out of 10 in Trust Pilot. The reasons for these poor ratings are some of those we’ve outlined, such as stringent rules about registration and compulsory check payment for the first withdrawal.

Vindale Research is a legit survey panel and one of the best paid online survey sites that started in 2005. They deliver targeted surveys to survey takers in Australia, Canada the US, and the UK. There is no doubt that they pay their members because at the time of writing this review, Vindale Research has paid out almost $7 million to members.

They make it clear that they give you hard cash, not points. They also say they have hundreds of paid survey opportunities daily, and that theirs are the highest paying surveys in the industry. Be rest assured that we examined the claims, and found them to be true to some degree; hence they’re being named here as one of the best 20 paid online survey sites.

First, when you sign up for free, Vindale Research gives you a signup bonus of $2.00. After signing up, you’ll have to complete a Vindale profile, which they will use to target surveys to you that you are most likely to qualify for. You’ll answer surveys on such topics as automobiles, home improvement, health and beauty, politics and current affairs, shopping and fashion, sports, new technology, travel and leisure. True to their claim, Vindale research does have a lot of surveys available; you can get several surveys invites in a week.

However, not all the surveys are available to be taken on mobile devices. In terms of how much you earn per survey, that will depend on the length of the survey and the type of the survey.

General surveys pay $1.00 to $5.00. However, medical surveys can pay as much as $50 and higher. The claim of Vindale Research to provide the highest paying survey will be true if you consider that in most survey sites, earnings for most completed surveys are less than a dollar, but in Vindale Research you are guaranteed over a dollar for any survey you complete. There are also product testing opportunities in Vindale Research, which can earn you as much as $5 to $75; and you may get to keep the product after the testing.

Another good thing that got Vindale Research into this list is that they provide their member’s with multiple ways to earn. Apart from the surveys and product testing, you can also earn from:

• Reading emails – click and read paid emails, and you’ll get $0.10 per email
• Watching videos – open and watch short videos/ playlists on the Vindale Research website to earn as much as $0.25
• Online community – Vindale Research stages a weekly contests on their different online platforms (blog and social media platform), and by participating in such, you can get as much as $15
• Referral program – you can earn as much as $5.00 for every friend you invite
• Posting payment picture – This is being paid to tell the world you were paid. Vindale Research pays you when you take and post pictures of your reward checks

There are many things to like about My Points. One is that they provide their member’s with different ways to earn reward points. Other earning activities include:

This means that even before the internet, they have been conducting surveys. A track record of conducting market research (and paying members) for over 43 years proves that they are a legit platform. I-Say is also trusted by worldwide brands, as they conduct over 70 million surveys each year for over 5,000 popular consumer brands in over 100 countries.

IPSOS I-Say also uses the points system. It’s exclusively a survey panel where you earn points for completing surveys, and you can later convert these points to cash and other prizes. Surveys are the main activity for earning. Thus, there should be a lot of surveys available. And, yes there are. One of the strengths of IPSOS I-Say is that they have a lot of survey invites. While in some survey sites, you can get only about three survey invites in a week, in I-Say you can get that many invites in a day. Granted, the number of invites you get depends on your profile, but you won’t be disappointed with how many you get in IPSOS I-Say.

Another thing is that if you do not qualify to complete a survey, IPSOS I-Say rewards you with 5 points. You’ll earn significantly more when you qualify for and complete any survey. The earnings per survey depend on the length of the survey, but it’s up to 45 points. Sometimes, you can get surveys that will get you as many as 90 points. Another thing to like about IPSOS I-Say is that, in most cases, they credit the reward points to your account immediately after you are done with the survey.

Another strong point of IPSOS I-Say is the earning potential of their loyalty program. It can best be described as a program that rewards you with points for earning points in the first place. For example, when you complete ten surveys, you earn the normal points for completing the ten surveys; in addition, the loyalty program rewards you with 50 extra points for your commitment. Thus, members are motivated to complete the number of surveys that qualifies them to receive loyalty bonus points.

When it comes to redeeming the points and receiving the payout, IPSOS also comes out as ideal because they allow members to withdraw as little as 500 points. One hundred reward points equal $1.00, so the minimum works out at $5.00. However, it doesn’t mean that for every reward type, the minimum cash-out amount is 500 points ($5.00). Like many survey sites, Toluna works with the points system where they reward you with points (for completing surveys) which you can later convert to cash and other prizes. However, Toluna has taken the points system to a whole new level that is exciting or deceptive depending on what part of the fence you’re standing.

For activities where other sites may reward with hundreds of points, Toluna rewards with thousands of points. Thus, seeing Toluna’s points earning potential will get you excited that you’ll accumulate rewards points very fast. That’s the excitement/ motivating part of the fence.

For the other part of the fence, Toluna has a very poor points conversion rate, so their thousands of points do not translate to big money after conversion.
